La nostra passione per i cani e le esposizioni ha probabili radici genetiche. Già i nostri genitori ed i nostri nonni infatti non solo possedevano cani, ma partecipavano già fin dagli anni '30 alle esposizioni cinofile.

Come spesso accade la vera passione per una particolare razza nasce solo dopo aver posseduto varie razze di cani. Il nostro attuale profondo amore per gli schnauzer nasce infatti da una scelta quasi casuale. Grazie a tale scelta è arrivato nella nostra casa il primo schnauzer medio pepe e sale, Zic della Val Chisone detto Filippo. Filippo è stato un adorabile compagno che per dieci anni e mezzo ha impreziosito le nostre vite con amore, gioia, intelligenza e fedeltà. Abbiamo ritenuto tali doti di una qualità molto particolare rispetto ad ogni altro cane avuto in precedenza. Filippo ci ha purtroppo lasciati troppo presto per problemi di cuore. Il giorno dopo la sua morte, dopo una intensa ricerca telefonica ci siamo precipitati a Torino a prendere il nostro secondo schnauzer: Rufus Zed, subito soprannominato Ugo. Avendo sessantasette giorni di vita Ugo era bisognoso di attenzioni continue e distoglieva le nostre menti dal dolore per la perdita di Filippo. Fin dal primo momento siamo stati colpiti dal suo eccezionale temperamento, estroverso, equilibrato, forte, dolce e gioioso, così come abbiamo subito apprezzato il suo pelo molto duro e la sua testa estremamente lunga eppur mascolina. Tutte qualità che si sono ulteriormente evidenziate nel cane una volta adulto.

Quasi subito abbiamo pensato che Ugo meritasse una compagna. Da quel momento una frenetica ricerca ha avuto inizio, per circa due mesi abbiamo tempestato di telefonate mezza Europa sino a quando abbiamo ritenuto di aver trovato la femmina giusta. Zitta di Casa Netzer detta Camilla aveva già cinque mesi quando è arrivata nella nostra casa. Non appena la vedemmo restammo colpiti dalla sua grande bellezza, dalla bellissima testa ed espressione, ma ancor più dalla grandissima classe ed emozionante movimento, tutte promesse che Camilla ha saputo mantenere. Era quasi arrivata l'estate ormai e durante il periodo delle vacanze nacque in noi la voglia di portare i nostri cani in esposizione. Fu così che cominciammo a bazzicare i ring, prima in Italia e poi in tutta Europa e non solo.

Si sa che non c'è 2 senza 3, fu così che, quando venimmo a sapere di una cucciolata che ritenevamo di particolare interesse, alla famiglia si aggiunse Edwina Gustaf. Di lei ci colpirono immediatamente la grande presenza, l'incredibile temperamento e l'eccezionale pelo. Edwina fra i tre è sicuramente la più allegra, Ugo e Camilla agitano la coda , Edwina no, lei agita tutto il posteriore anche ad un semplice sguardo.

Di certo Beniamino il decano di casa ha saputo reagire con la sua abituale regale indifferenza a tanti nuovi arrivi ed ha saputo stabilire poche chiare regole per una pacifica convivenza.

Our passion for dogs and dog shows might have genetic origins. Our parents and grandparents in fact not only owned but were showing their dogs since the 1930’s .

As often happens the true passion for a specific breed only born after someone has owned several dogs of different breeds. Our present deep love for schnauzers started in fact with a fortuitous choice we made. With this choice the first salt and pepper standard, Zic della Val Chisone named Filippo arrived in our home. Filippo has been an adorable companion, for more than ten years he has enriched our lives with love, joy, intelligence and fidelity. We felt this qualities to be of a really very special kind when compared to every other dog we had before. Unfortunately Filippo due to a serious heart disease left us too early. On the day next to his death, after an intensive phone research we went to Turin to take our second schnauzer: Rufus Zed immediately named Ugo. Being only sixty-seven days old he called for continuos care, this distracted our minds from the deep pain for the loss of Filippo. Since the very first moment we were impressed from the exceptional temperament of Ugo. Extrovert, well-balanced, sound, sweet and joyful. We also immediately appreciated his very harsh coat and his extremely long and masculine head, all qualities that reinforced in the adult dog.

Very soon we felt that Ugo deserved a partner. Since that moment a frantic research started. For nearly two months we bombarded the half of Europe with telephone calls until we felt the right bitch had been found. Zitta di Casa Netzer named Camilla was already five months old when she arrived in our home. As we saw her we were amazed by her great beauty, by her beautiful head and expression, and furthermore by her great class and exciting movement -- all promises that Camilla has kept. Summer was approaching than and during the vacation period the wish to show our dogs raised our minds. It happened this way that we started to haunt the rings, first in Italy, than in the whole Europe and more.

In Italy we say "there is not two without three". So when we heard of a litter that particularly raised our attention, Edwina Gustaf joined the family. In her we immediately appreciated the great presence, the incredible temperament and the exceptional coat. Edwina out of the three is certainly the most merry. When Ugo and Camilla simply move their tails she moves instead all his back at just a simple glance.

Certainly Beniamino the doyen of the house has reacted with his usual regal indifference to the new arrivals. He has certainly been able to establish a few clear rules for a peaceful cohabitation.
